About Becky

Shepperton Speech Therapy aims to provide support to children and their families to help them achieve their full communication potential, enriching relationships and allowing them to participate more fully in the activities that are important to them.

I am a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with a wide range of experience in working with children under the age of 7 years.

During my employment within a Central London Primary Care Trust, commencing in September 2008, I have benefited from excellent training opportunities, robust clinical supervision and the privilege of working within a knowledgeable and dynamic team.

I now currently work part time for the NHS, whilst also offering independent therapy to children in Shepperton and the surrounding areas.

I am trained in the following therapy approaches:

  • Assistive and Augmentative Communication
  • Attention Autism Activities
  • Colourful Semantics
  • Hanen: It Takes Two To Talk
  • Intensive Interaction
  • Makaton Signs and Symbols
  • Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme
  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy
  • Palin Parent-Child Interaction therapy for children under 7 who stammer

Here are some examples of what Becky’s clients and colleagues have to say about her work:

“I am so grateful to Becky for the incredible progress J has made with his speech sounds.  I only wish I’d got in touch sooner.I highly recommend giving Becky a call to discuss your slt needs.  We had made very little progress for over a year before we met her, now it feels like we leap forward every time we meet.Becky instantly developed a bond with my son, inspired him with her games and patiently taught us simple but highly effective ways to build practice into our every day routine. My son loves sessions with Becky and so do I!  It’s all run as a series of brilliant, super-fun games – he can’t wait to see what she’ll bring next week!”(N, Mother of 5 year old boy)

“Becky is amazing and has made a huge impression on my boys!” (L, Mother of 4 year old twin boys)

“Becky is an extremely dedicated, enthusiastic member of the team, who continues to provide care to her clients of the highest quality. Becky is committed to delivering evidence based intervention. A very big thank you to Becky for being an innovative clinician; proactively making suggestions to improve the efficiency of the team and always being supportive of other colleagues. Becky has been excellent in the challenging role of student supervisor and also coordinating the student placements for the wider SLT team, thankyou!”(K, Line Manager and Clinical Supervisor)
